Jackson-93 To Undergo Culvert Replacement
Chillicothe (Thursday, August 16, 2012) – A culvert replacement project on state Route 93 in Jackson County is scheduled to take place, and the route will be closed for up to one week.
On Monday, August 20, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Jackson County facility will close S.R. 93 at the 20.08-mile marker to replace a deteriorated culvert. The project site is located immediately south of Coalton and near Township Road 187 (Sand Hill Road).
The closure will go into effect at approximately 8 a.m. August 20 and continue until 4 p.m. Friday, August 24, or until all work is completed, and completion of the project will be contingent upon the weather.
While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of U.S. 35 at Jackson to S.R. 32 to S.R. 327 to S.R. 93 at Wellston.
