Why: Ohio’s STIP is a four-year biennially updated, financially balanced listing of federal and state funded transportation improvement projects that are scheduled for some phase of implementation throughout Ohio. The STIP open houses are an opportunity to inform the media and public about these projects and for ODOT to receive public input.
New to this year’s STIP roll out in District 9 will be the participation of the Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission (OVRDC), which will join ODOT - District 9 at each of its regional meetings to receive public comments for its draft Long Range Transportation Plan. In addition, representatives from KYOVA, District 9’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) which serves parts of Lawrence County, will be on hand to discuss and share information regarding efforts in the tri-state area.
