Chillicothe - State Route 104 in Scioto County will be closed between state routes 348 and 32 today, Wednesday, August 5, for an emergency culvert replacement project.
The route will be closed at the 14.94-mile marker, between County Road 32 (Bear Creek-Rarden Road) and County Road 136 (Big Run Road), north of state Route 348, where a culvert has collapsed in the northbound lane.
Throughout the day, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Scioto County Highway Maintenance Facility will be working to replace the culvert and restore the route.
The closure is anticipated to be in effect until approximately 5 p.m. today, and while the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via U.S. Route 23.
