Scioto-139 Slip Wraps Up; Route Reopens To Two Lanes
S.R. 335 At Rigrish Addition Now Open To Traffic
Chillicothe (Thursday, June 20, 2013) – A slip repair project on state Route 139 at Portsmouth has been completed, and contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation have reopened the route to two lanes of traffic.
Crews from the Alan Stone Company have completed major operations to repair a slip at the route’s 1.20-mile marker, just south of the northern corporation limit of Portsmouth. The route was reduced to one lane between Munn Street and Township Road 165 (Hinkley Hollow Road) while crews repaired the slip with drilled shafts and completed pavement repairs.
The contractors will have minor finishing work to complete; however, there should be little to no impact to traffic and all work should be completed by the end of June.

S.R. 335 in Scioto County has also been reopened today following a three-day culvert replacement project by crews from ODOT’s Scioto County Highway Maintenance Facility.
The route was closed at the 3.1-mile marker Tuesday, June 18, for crews to replace a deteriorated culvert between C.R. 246 (Stout Hollow Road) and C.R. 15 (Dixon Mill Road). Operations were completed shortly before 2 p.m. today, and all lane restrictions have been lifted.
