Comment Period Open For Proposed Scioto-140 Project
Chillicothe (Wednesday, February 27, 2013) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed project.
Scioto County – SCI-140-7.28 (PID: 93794) – The proposed project is to widen and resurface a 0.52-mile section of state Route 140 in Scioto County to improve safety through two curves located in this section roadway. The project also includes the construction of full-depth shoulders and storm sewers. The project will need approximately 0.114 acres of temporary right of way, which is located in residential lawns, as well as approximately 1.970 acres of permanent right of way, located along residential lawns and a forested hillside.

Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources.
