Scioto-335 Culvert Project Delayed
Route Will Remain Closed Through Saturday Morning
Chillicothe (Thursday, April 17, 2014) – Due to unforeseen circumstances, a culvert replacement project on state Route 335 in Scioto County has been delayed.
Currently, S.R. 335 is closed at the 3.95-mile marker, between County Road 15 (Dixon Mill Road) and Township Road 240 (Gampp Lane), where crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Scioto County facility are replacing a deteriorated pipe. However, during today’s operations, crews discovered an unmarked gas line, which has required additional work in order to avoid the line.
Although the route was scheduled to be reopened by 4 p.m. Friday, April 18, the closure will now be in effect until Saturday morning, or until all work is completed. While the route is closed, motorists will continue to be detoured via S.R. 139 and U.S. 52.
