Overnight Closure Of Scioto-348 Scheduled Next Week

Chillicothe (Wednesday, May 21, 2014) – As part of a major
bridge rehabilitation project, the Scioto River Bridge on S.R. 348 at
Lucasville will be closed one night next week for a deck pour.
The overnight closure
will go into effect at 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, and continue until
approximately 4 a.m. Thursday. While the route is closed, traffic will be
detoured via S.R. 104 North to S.R. 32 East and U.S. 23 South; however, operations
will be contingent upon the weather.
and Sands was awarded a contract for approximately $2.6 million to
rehabilitate the four-span structure that is located
immediately east of S.R. 104 and just west of U.S. 23. Throughout most construction, S.R.
348 is being maintained in one lane with temporary signals, and all work
associated with the project is anticipated to be completed in mid-fall.
