Of Culvert Replacements Scheduled For Highland-753
Chillicothe (Thursday, July 10, 2014) – A series
of culvert replacement projects will take place this month and early next on
state Route 753 in Highland County, requiring single and multiple-day closure
of the route for up to two weeks.
Crews from the Ohio
Department of Transportation’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility will
be replacing several culverts between the route’s junction with U.S. 50, west
of Rainsboro, and S.R. 41.
The first culvert to be
replaced is located at the 6.41-mile marker, between County Road 27 (North
Shore Drive) and U.S. 50, and the closure will go into effect at
approximately 8 a.m. Monday, July 14, and continue until approximately 4 p.m.
Wednesday, July 16. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via
S.R. 506, S.R. 124 and U.S. 50.
Then, beginning Thursday,
July 17, S.R. 753 will be closed at various locations between the S.R. 41 and
S.R. 506 at Carmel in single and multiple-day operations as crews work to
replace additional culverts within the three-mile section of road. During
periods of closure, traffic will be detoured by way of S.R. 506, S.R. 124 and
