Single-Lane Restriction To Be Imparted On S.R. 73/104 South
Chillicothe (Friday, August 23, 2013) – As part of the U.S. Route 52 rehabilitation project in Scioto County, temporary lane restrictions will be imparted on S.R. 73/104 South next week.
S.R. 73/104 South will be reduced to one lane between S.R. 239 and U.S. 52/S.R. 852 for barrier wall construction. The lane restriction is scheduled to go into effect Monday, August 26, and continue throughout the week. While southbound traffic will be maintained in one lane, the northbound lanes of S.R. 73/104 should not be affected by the restriction.
Currently, U.S. 52 is reduced to one, 11-foot lane in each direction between T.R. 569 (Old U.S. 52) near the S.R. 239 interchange and the Portsmouth corporation limit, and the exit ramp from U.S. 52 East to S.R. 852 is closed for bridge repair.
Motorists are reminded of the need for additional safety in the work zone, paying heed to crews, width restrictions and reduced speed limits.
