Repair Work Under Way On S.R. 770
Route To Be Closed During Daytime Hours
Chillicothe (Monday, August 21, 2017) – A drilled shaft
installation project is under way on state Route 770 in Adams County, with
the route subject to daytime closure throughout the week.
Beginning today, August 21, and
continuing through Thursday, August 24, S.R. 770 will be closed between County
Road 10 (Nichols Ridge Road) and Township Road 107 (Raines Road) while crews
from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Adams County facility install a
series of drilled shafts in order to repair a slide area along the shoulder
of the route.
The project site is located approximately
three miles east of the route’s junction with S.R. 247 at Seaman, and the
closure will be in effect from
approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
S.R. 770 will
be open to evening and overnight travel, but during periods of closure,
motorists will be maintained detoured via S.R. 73, S.R. 785 and S.R. 247.
