Slip Repair Project Set To Start On Lawrence-775
Chillicothe (Friday, February 13, 2015) – Site preparations and preliminary operations will get under way for a project in Lawrence County next week as contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation undertake a slide repair on state Route 775.
Crews from the Ohio Bridge Corporation will be correcting a landslide area by realigning a 0.1-mile section of S.R. 775 and installing a drilled shaft lagging wall. The project site is located immediately past the route’s north junction with County Road 2 (Greasy Ridge Road), approximately four miles south of S.R. 141, and the initial phase of construction is scheduled to begin February 16.
During the start of the project, there should be little impact to traffic, and throughout construction, traffic will be maintained on the existing pavement and in one lane with the use of flaggers or temporary traffic signals.
Ohio Bridge was awarded a contract for approximately $740,345 to complete the project, and all work is anticipated to be completed by early summer.
