Culvert Replacement Project Wrapping Up Today
Chillicothe -- Following a 30-day closure of the route, a culvert replacement project on state Route 131 in Highland County is nearing completion and crews are preparing to reopen the route to traffic.
Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation have replaced a culvert situated over Barr Run and located at the route’s 4.40-mile marker, one-half mile west of County Road 24 (Hollowtown Road) near Pricetown.
As crews complete minor finishing work this afternoon, the route is anticipated to be open by 5 p.m. today, one day in advance of the scheduled completion date.
BCC Ohio Incorporated of New London, Ohio, was awarded a contract in the amount of $246,854.17 in early June to complete the project, with a completion date of August 15.
