Closure Imparted On Adams-770
Route to be closed
today, tomorrow for pavement work
As part of a slip
repair project, state Route 770 in Adams County will be closed today, May 30,
for pavement work prior to the start of construction.
Contractors for the
Ohio Department of Transportation will close S.R. 770 approximately two miles
east of S.R. 247 at Seaman in order to install temporary pavement that will
be used to navigate traffic during construction.
The closure will be in
effect through approximately 4 p.m. Thursday, May 31, or until the temporary
repairs have been made. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured
via S.R. 247, S.R. 785 and S.R. 73. Once the intermediate pavement has been
installed, the route will be reopened to one lane, and traffic will be
maintained with signals during construction.
The Alan Stone Company was awarded a contract
for approximately $770,000 to repair the slip, and the entire
construction project is anticipated to be completed in mid-summer.
