Chillicothe (Monday, December 28, 2015) – As part of the Southern Ohio Veterans Memorial Highway construction project in Scioto County, lane restrictions will be in place one day next week on U.S. Route 23.
On Tuesday, January 5, crews from the Portsmouth Joint Venture (PJV) will close the driving lane of north and southbound U.S. 23 between S.R. 728/348 at Lucasville and County Road 55 (Fairground Road), where interchange construction is under way.
The single-day, temporary restriction is scheduled to be in effect from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days, with traffic should be restored to two lanes in both directions by early evening hours.

The Southern Ohio Veterans Memorial Highway is the department’s first P3 project and the largest, modern earthwork project to be constructed in the state’s history.
