Temporary Restrictions Scheduled For Ohio River Road
Route will be subject to short-term periods of closure one day next week
Chillicothe (Friday, March 25, 2016) – Motorists may encounter of intermittent periods of delay and short-term periods of closure on County Road 503 (Ohio River Road) in Scioto County one day next week in conjunction with the Southern Ohio Veterans Memorial Highway project.
On Tuesday, March 29, crews from the Portsmouth Joint Venture will restrict Ohio River Road at its intersection with County Road 251 (Hastings Hill Road) intermittently throughout the day for tree clearing. The temporary restrictions are scheduled to be in effect from approximately 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., when traffic may be stopped for up to 15-minute intervals while trees are being cut and cleared.
Traffic will be maintained by flaggers during operations, and the route will be open when trees are not being cut. All restrictions on Ohio River Road are anticipated to be lifted by late afternoon.
