Trimming, Clearing Project Slated For S.R. 243
Route Subject To Daytime Closures Wednesday,
November 6, 2018) – As part of a districtwide maintenance and vegetation management
program, a tree trimming project has been scheduled this week on state
Route 243 in Lawrence County.
On Wednesday and
Thursday, November 7 and 8, maintenance crews will
be cutting and clearing trees that overhang along S.R. 243, and the route will
be subject to daytime closure between C.R. 57 (McKee-Ratcliff Road) and C.R. 17 (Rankins Creek
Operations will be
in effect from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day, with the route
open to evening and overnight travel. During periods of closure, motorists
will be detoured by way of U.S. 52, S.R. 141, S.R. 217 and S.R. 378.
