Chillicothe (Friday, June 11, 2010) – With historic investments being made throughout the state, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9 will undertake an intersection improvement project on state Route 335 in Scioto County.
According to District 9 Deputy Director James A. Brushart, crews from DGM, Incorporated will be constructing a left-turn lane on state Route 335 at Township Road 232 (Bond Road) to upgrade the intersection and improve the safety of the entrance to Minford Local Schools.
DGM, Inc. of Beaver, Ohio, was awarded a contract in the amount of $426,955 and began construction of the turn-lane addition this week. Currently, there are no significant lane restrictions, and traffic is being maintained with the use of flaggers as needed.
As part of the $67.6 million construction season, this is just one of more than 60 projects taking place in District 9 this year, and the scheduled completion date for all work is August 15, 2010.
