Two Routes Reopen; Two Remain Closed
Chillicothe (March 18, 2010) – As waters continue to recede in southern Scioto County, two routes have now been reopened to traffic; however, two routes remain closed due to flooding and backwater from the Ohio River.
Now OPEN to traffic:
• State Route 73/104 northbound ramp; and the
• Second Street Bridge at the western corporation limit of Portsmouth.
Still CLOSED to traffic:
• State Route 73 southbound exit to Portsmouth; and
• State Route 239 at West Portsmouth.
These closures are in effect until further notice, and motorists are reminded that crossing any route which has been closed is strictly prohibited. They are also advised to exercise extreme caution when crossing any route which is open but where standing water may be present.
