U.S. 35/S.R. 159 Interchange Lighting Project Rescheduled Bridge Street Exit Ramp Project Set For March 1
Chillicothe (Tuesday, February 21, 2012) – A lighting repair project at U.S. Route 35 and state Route 159 that was postponed due to inclement weather has been rescheduled for next week.
Weather permitting, crews from Perram Electric will restrict traffic exiting from U.S. 35 East to S.R. 159/Bridge Street on Thursday, March 1, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in order to repair a light pole at the interchange. Throughout the day, the inside left-turn lanes will be closed, and traffic will be restricted via the shoulder to a single left-turn lane and a continuous right-turn lane at the ramp’s junction with Bridge Street.
Although the off-ramp will be open, motorists are advised of possible delay and the potential for stopped traffic on the off-ramp as well as on U.S. 35 East. In order to avoid delays, motorists may want to seek alternate routes via S.R. 104 or Main Street.
All work should be completed by the end of the business day Thursday, and operations will be contingent upon the weather.
