U.S. 50 In Brown County To Be Closed Temporarily Saturday
Chillicothe (Thursday, April 13, 2017) – U.S. Route 50 in Brown County will be closed temporarily this Saturday, April 15, as part of the traffic control for the funeral services of William E. Young.
In cooperation with the Fayetteville Fire and Police Departments and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, crews from ODOT’s Brown County maintenance facility will close U.S. 50 between Township Road 100 (Woodward Road) and S.R. 131 for the interment of Mr. Young at the Holy Ghost Cemetery at Vera Cruz.
Mr. Young, who passed away April 9, was member of both the Fayetteville Fire and Police Departments, as well as a bus driver for the Fayetteville-Perry Local School District and a former police chief for the village of St. Martin.
The closure will be in effect from approximately noon to 2:30 p.m. Those following the funeral procession will have access to the cemetery; however, all through traffic will be detoured by way of S.R. 286, U.S. 68 and S.R. 131 while the services are under way.
