U.S. 62 To Be Closed For Culvert Replacement
Chillicothe (Monday, June 15, 2015) – Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility have scheduled a culvert replacement project on U.S. Route 62, requiring an 11-day closure of the route.
U.S. 62 will be closed Monday, June 22, approximately one-half mile north of the community of New Market in order for crews to replace a pair of deteriorated culverts at the 9.16-mile marker. More specifically, the project site is between County Road 5 (New Market Road) and Township Road 217 (Warlamount Road), near T.R. 219 (Miller Lane).
The closure will go into effect at approximately 8 a.m. Monday, and it remain in effect until 4 p.m. Friday, July 3, or until all work is completed. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via S.R. 321, S.R. 134 and S.R. 138 at Buford.
