U.S. 68 Reopens Ahead Of Schedule
Culvert Replacement Completed Five Days Early
Chillicothe (Friday, June 5, 2015) – Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Brown County Highway Maintenance Facility completed a culvert replacement project on U.S. Route 68, reopening the route five days ahead of schedule.
U.S. 68 was closed Monday, June 1, between the communities of Fivemile and Chasetown in order for crews to replace a deteriorated culvert at the 38.5-mile marker, approximately one mile south of S.R. 131
Although the closure was scheduled to remain in effect through the close of business Wednesday, June 10, the crews were able to expedite operations and reopen the route to traffic today.
