U.S. ROUTE 23 REDUCED TO ONE LANE
Chillicothe - A portion of northbound U.S. Route 23 in Scioto County continues to be reduced to one lane following a water main break that occurred in the Rosemount area this week.
The route is reduced to one lane in the northbound direction near the four-mile marker, approximately one mile north of Portsmouth. Crews for the city of Portsmouth have repaired the break; however, contractors for the city will be working to repair the pavement today and Monday, February 4, as weather permits.
Although completion of the repairs is contingent upon the weather, it is anticipated that the northbound side of the route will be restored to two lanes of traffic by late Monday afternoon. Motorists are advised to exercise additional caution when traveling through this area.
