Utility Work To Require Jackson-35 Closure
Chillicothe (Thursday, December 11, 2014) – U.S. Route 35 in Jackson County will be closed temporarily one day next week for utility work by the city of Jackson.
Working on behalf of the city’s Electric Department, crews from New River Electrical will close U.S. 35 in both directions on Thursday, December 18, just west of the County Road 84 (Chillicothe Pike) interchange in order to pull utility lines across the highway.
The closure will go into effect beginning at 9 a.m. and continue for approximately 20 to 30 minutes. While the route is closed, traffic will be controlled and maintained by New River Electrical crews and law enforcement personnel from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Motorists are advised of the short-term delay; however, in order to avoid delay, drivers may want to seek alternate routes. They are also reminded to exercise additional caution in the work zone.
