 History & Overview


Construction to replace the Ironton-Russell Bridge in Lawrence County has been completed, and the new bridge is now open to traffic! The project is the relocation of the bridge that connects Ironton, Ohio, with Russell, Kentucky, between Second and Jefferson streets in downtown Ironton and the U.S. 23 viaduct south of Russell. The project also includes removal of the former bridge upon completion of the new one. To read more about the project's history, follow the links below...
