Linking Ohio's highways, railways, transit, aviation and port facilities, the Ohio Department of Transportation will promote a world-class, integrated multi-modal transportation system that is efficient, cost-effective and reliable for all of the state's citizens, businesses and travelers. ODOT District 9 serves the transportation needs of Adams, Brown, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross and Scioto counties in south-central Ohio. There are more than 3,790 lane miles of state and federal routes maintained by District 9, and there are 1,243 bridges inspected and monitored by its bridge department.
