Traffic Pattern Changes On State Route 7 North Of Marietta

MARIETTA, OH - Ohio Department of Transporation officials announce the four lane opening of State Route 7 (Pike Street), north of Marietta. According to Larry Woodford, ODOT District 10 Deputy Director, all four lanes are now open from Cogswell Lane to Starlite Lane, with U-turns at several intersections. "A new truck crossover is now open at Smith Concrete to allow large trucks to make U-turns and access driveways on southbound SR 7," Woodford said. One lane will be maintained in each direction starting south and continuing north on the state route. "As construction continues from County House Lane to County Road 9, the posted speed limit is 45 mph and will be patroled by the Ohio State Highway Patrol," explained Woodford.

The estimated completion of the entire project is November 2009.
