Section of Eastbound Lanes To Open on Phase 2 of Nelsonville Bypass
ATHENS/ HOCKING COUNTY (Wednesday, October 3, 2012) – The Ohio Department of Transportation District 10 announces a section of Eastbound lanes are scheduled to open next week on Phase 2 of the Nelsonville Bypass project.
“Weather permitting, there should be traffic on the Eastbound lanes by October 11,” said Audrey Seals, ODOT Phase 2 Project Engineer.
Eastbound traffic will enter the bypass at ODOT’s tie-in from the current U.S.33 four-lane on the West end of the project toward Logan. Eastbound traffic will exit the bypass at the ramp onto West Interchange Road ( which was previously Dorr Run Road), enter the roundabout and continue left into Nelsonville.
Phase 2 is scheduled to open in its entirety by the end of November 2012.
The entire project is scheduled to be completed in September 2013.
