HOCKING COUNTY (Wednesday, October 10, 2012) – The Ohio Department of Transportation District 10 announces Old US 33 will be closed in both directions at County Road 25 from October 11 until November 2, 2012.
“This closures allows crews to complete tie-in work on Phase 2 of the bypass,” District 10 Construction Administrator Cary Betzing said.
Haydenville residents will need to utilize the State Route 595 Interchange to access both US 33 East and West.
According to Betzing, US 33 traffic will now be utilizing all four-lanes of Phase 2.
Access to the Wayne National Forest OHV trails will be maintained at all times. From October 11-22, access to the trail system will be from the SR 595 Interchange through Haydenville. Also, from October 22- November 2, 2012, access to the trail system will be from Nelsonville utilizing old USR 33.
Please note that weather and scheduling will affect the durations of the OHV Trail access points.
Updates will be posted as they become available
