ATHENS COUNTY (Wednesday, October 3, 2012) – The Ohio Department of Transportation announces State Route 78 will be closed to through traffic from 7:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. tonight and tomorrow night between Poplar Street and Sylvania Avenue (MM 0.58). The closure is scheduled in order to place bridge beams over the existing SR 78 roadway. The closure will be re-opened both mornings so that school traffic is not affected.
