WEEKLY TRAFFIC UPDATE:

ODOT District 10 Road Closures and Restrictions For July 18- July 22, 2011

1.) Athens County: One lane of State Route 329 is closed to allow for a bridge replacement. Motorists will encounter the work zone about 0.07 miles North of Township Road 96 (Marietta Run Road), there is a 15 foot width restriction in place for the duration of the restriction. Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by 8/30/2011.

2.) Athens County: A section of U.S. Route 33 is down to one lane on either side of the highway. Crews will be resurfacing the pavement between mile markers 10.7-12.71 (682 ramp to bridge over Hocking River). Speed is reduced to 45 MPH through the work zone through the duration of the project. There will be a 12' width restriction for the duration of the project. Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by November 2011.

3.) Hocking County: A section of State Route 595 is closed to replace the bridge over Monday Creek. Work will begin around mile marker 3.02. SR 595 should be reopened by August 12, 2011. Weather permitting; all work is expected to be completed by 8/31/2011.

4.) Meigs County: A section of State Route 124 is closed for 45 days for a slip repair project. Work will begin around mile marker 32.50. Motorists are encouraged to use ODOT’s Official Detour: SR 124 at Rock Springs to US 33 to SR 124 Great Bend Area.

Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by 8/15/2011.

5.) Monroe County: A section of SR 255 will be closed for a slip repair. Motorists will encounter work around mile marker 17.40, which is about 0.51 miles north of County Road 10 ( Benwood Road). Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by 9/1/2011.

6.) Monroe County: State Route 26 is now open to 2-way one lane traffic using signals but an 11' width restriction remains in place. Roadwork will begin 0.02 mile North of SR 537 or around mile marker 5.61

7.) Monroe County: A 12 foot width restriction is in place on a section of State Route 78 to allow for the addition of a turning lane to a school entrance. Motorists will encounter work around mile marker 14.97. East bound lane will be closed for Phase 1, traffic will use West bound lane. Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by 8/15/2011.

8.) Noble County: Section of State Route 147 is closed for a bridge replacement project. Motorists will encounter work around mile marker 0.13, just north of SR 78. Motorists are encouraged to use ODOT’s Official Detour: Take SR 78W to SR 821 N to SR 285 to get back on SR 147. Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by 8/15/2011.

9.) Noble County: State Route 147, located approximately 4 miles north of Sarahsville, is reduced to one lane to allow for a box culvert replacement. The southbound lane is currently closed and the northbound lane has a 12 foot width restriction in place. Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by 10/30/2011.

10.) Noble County: A Section of State Route 566 is closed for a culvert replacement Work will begin around mile marker 0.90 on SR 566. Motorists are encouraged to use ODOT's Official Detour: SR 147 SW to SR 285 N to SR 566. Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by 8/2/2011.

11.) Noble County: 11 foot width restriction at the intersection of State Route 78 and State Route 821. Approximately 400 feet in each direction at intersection. Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by 7/30/2011.

12.) Washington County: A section of State Route 124 in Washington County is closed as crews replace a bridge. Motorists will encounter the closure around mile marker 3.42 and work will continue to mile marker 3.96. Weather permitting; work should be completed by 10/15/2011.

13.) Washington County: A section of State Route 26 in Washington County is closed for a culvert replacement. Weather permitting; work is scheduled to be completed by 8/18/11. Motorists are encouraged to use ODOT's Official Detour: State Route 7 to State Route 260.

14.) Washington County: Intersection pavement rehabilitation project at the SR 60 and Colegate Drive intersection. Motorists will see work on SR 60 between mile markers 2.85-3.64 and also on SR 821 between mile markers 0.00-0.23. Due to the nature of the construction, motorists will not be able to make a left-hand turn on Colegate Drive during Phase 1 of the project. Weather permitting; all work is expected to be completed October 2011.

15.) Washington County: Motorists will also encounter a resurfacing project that begins at mile marker 3.60 which is about 0.30 miles N of NW Corp. limit, Village of Lowell. Weather permitting; all work is expected to be completed September 2011.

16.) Washington County: A section of State Route 676 will be closed for a culvert replacement project. Work will begin around mile marker 8.28. Motorists are encouraged to use ODOT’s Official Detour: SR 676 to SR 339 to SR 550 to SR 555 to get back on SR 676. Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by 7/21/11.

17.) Washington County: State Route 7 ramp closure for a bridge repair. Motorists are encouraged to use ODOT’s Official Detour: SR 7 N, follow the US- 32 East exit ramp. Turn left onto SR 618/ Main Street; take SR 618/Main Street to get back onto SR 7 N. Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by 7/21/11.

18.) Washington County: A section of the eastbound lane of US 50 is closed for a slip repair. Work begins around mile marker 0.42. Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by 8/1/2011.

19. Washington County: A 12 foot width restriction is in place along with a one lane closure on US 50 to allow for a bridge deck replacement project. Work will begin around mile marker 1.66. Weather permitting; work is expected to be completed by 11/1/11.
