ODOT Seeks Comments on Improvements to State Routes in Belmont and Harrison County
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, January 5, 2010) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 is proposing the replacement of several culverts on three different state routes in Belmont and Harrison County.
The proposed project will replace existing culverts located on State Route 799 in Harrison County, State Route 800 in Belmont County, and two locations on State Route 147 in Belmont County.
Construction is anticipated to begin this summer. A detour will be required at all locations except the SR 800 location where traffic will be maintained. No new right of way will be required at any locations.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental and economic impacts of the proposed project. Environmental impacts include impacts associated with architectural and ecological resources, hazardous materials and the general location of the project.
