ODOT seeks comments on proposed intersection improvement project in Carroll County
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, January 21, 2015) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 is seeking comments on a proposed intersection improvement project (PID 95916) at State Route 9 and State Route 171 north of Carrollton in Washington Township, Carroll County.
The project will improve the intersection by horizontally realigning SR 9 and raising the vertical profile of SR 171.
Traffic will be detoured for a portion of construction which is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2016. Minor new right of way will be required to complete the work; however, no residential or business relocations will be required.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental, and economic impacts of the proposed project. Environmental impacts include those associated with historical, archeological or architectural resources, ecological resources, hazardous materials, and/or any general concerns regarding the project.
