ODOT seeks comments on proposed SR 514 culvert replacement project
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, January 26, 2015) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 is seeking comments on a proposed culvert replacement project (PID 95821) on State Route 514 south of Nashville in Holmes County.
The project will include:
- Replacement of two existing catch basins (one located on each side of SR 514)
- Replacement of a 24-inch culvert, carrying roadway drainage under SR 514 and stabilization of the underlying soil
- Replacement of an adjacent 12-inch field drive culvert, carrying roadway drainage
Minor new right of way will be required to complete the work. Construction is anticipated to begin summer of 2016. Traffic will be maintained using part width construction and a 30-day detour.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental, and economic impacts of the proposed project. Environmental impacts include those associated with historical, archeological or architectural resources, ecological resources, hazardous materials, and/or any general concerns regarding the project.
