State Route 149 west of Stewartsville to be closed today at noon due to mine subsidence
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, February 11, 2013) – State Route 149 will be closed to traffic beginning today, Monday, February 11, 2013 at 12 p.m. to allow for repairs to mine subsidence under the roadway just west of Stewartsville in Belmont County.
Beginning at the intersection of SR 149 and SR 9, traffic will be detoured south on SR 9 to SR 147 in Centerville, then east on SR 147 to SR 7 in Bellaire, and reverse.
ODOT’s contractor for this $200,000 project is Ohio-West Virginia Excavating Company from Powhatan Point. Work is expected to be completed by Monday, February 18th.
