ODOT seeks comments on State Route 542 improvements in Carroll County
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Friday, March 25, 2011) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 is proposing to realign a 2,200-foot section of State Route 542 in Rose Township, Carroll County.
The proposed project will eliminate a curve south of Magnolia to improve traffic safety. Minor new right of way will be required to complete the project. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained during construction, which is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2013.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental, and economic impacts of the proposed project. Environmental impacts include impacts associated with architectural and ecological resources, hazardous materials, and the general location of the project.
