Work to begin next week on West State Street bridge in Salem
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Thursday, March 26, 2015) – Work is expected to begin next Thursday, April 2nd, on the West State Street (State Route 14) bridge deck replacement project in Salem, Columbiana County.
Two-way traffic will be maintained with flaggers until late June when the structure will be closed until late November. The road is expected to be closed and traffic detoured for 140 days total.
ODOT’s contractor for this $3 million project is Marucci & Gaffney Excavating Co., from Youngstown, Ohio, and the completion date is June 2016.
