State Route 7 resurfacing to begin between Shadyside and Bellaire
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, March 29, 2016) – Work is set to begin next Monday, April 4th, to resurface three miles of State Route 7 from the north end of Shadyside through Bellaire in Belmont County.
The $2.44 million project also includes corrective work to the northbound on-ramp at 26th Street and the southbound off-ramp at Belmont Street (Pinch Run). Each ramp will require seven-day closures expected to take place in June.
One lane of traffic will be maintained on SR 7 in each direction throughout construction.
ODOT’s contractor is Cross Roads Construction Inc., from Cambridge, Ohio, and the completion date is October 31, 2016.
The Ohio Department of Transportation maintains the state's largest man-made asset – the transportation system.
