State Route 147 to be Restricted near Key Tomorrow Due to Landslide
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) -- State Route 147 will be reduced to one lane near Key in Belmont County tomorrow, March 31st, due to a landslide.
Two-way traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals.
ODOT officials will begin performing a subsurface investigation later this week to determine the type and extent of repairs needed.
The roadway will remain restricted until permanent repairs are completed; however, the duration of this lane closure is unclear at this time.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
