State Route 179 to be Restricted Next Week North of Nashville for Culvert Replacement
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, March 30, 2010) – State Route 179 will be restricted next Monday, April 5, north of Nashville in Holmes County for a culvert replacement.
Two-way traffic will be maintained in one, 11-foot lane with temporary traffic signals.
This $568,000 project also included two other culvert replacements completed last year on SR 179.
ODOT's contractor, V O Menuez & Son Inc., from Millersburg, Ohio, anticipates completing this work by May 19, 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
