State Route 11 resurfacing work to begin next week in Columbiana County
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, March 30, 2010) – Work is set to begin next Monday, April 5th, on a State Route 11 resurfacing project in Columbiana County.
Almost seven miles of SR 11 will be resurfaced from just north of SR 154 at Lisbon to just north of SR 164 neear Leetonia.
Beginning Monday, April 19th, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
ODOT's contractor for this $4 million project is the Shelly Company, from Thornville, Ohio, and the completion date is August 31, 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
