Dennison Avenue at Cadiz to be closed during daytime hours
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, March 30, 2016) – Dennison Avenue at Cadiz will be closed during daytime hours for the next two weeks as part of the Township Road 243 bridge removal project over U.S. Route 22 in Harrison County.
Starting Monday, April 4th, Dennison Avenue will be closed from about 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to allow for the installation of a new storm sewer on the north side of the street. No official detour will be posted.
Work began late last November on the $1.5 million project to remove the bridge located between the intersections of U.S. 22/SR 9 and U.S. 22/U.S. 250 and relocate TR 243 to intersect with Dennison Avenue north of U.S. 22 and include a cul-de-sac south of U.S. 22.
One, 12-foot lane will be maintained in each direction on U.S. 22.
ODOT’s contractor is the Beaver Excavating Company, from Canton, Ohio, and the completion is mid-October 2016.
