Eastbound traffic to be detoured on ramps
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, March 31, 2015) – Beginning tomorrow, April 1st, eastbound U.S. Route 22 traffic will be rerouted again via the County Road 22A ramps during daytime hours for bridge painting.
ODOT’s contractor, Armstrong Steel Erectors Inc., from Newark, Ohio, will be painting the structural steel on the CR 22A bridge between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The work zone will be taken down every night at 6 p.m. and re-established each morning.
Weather permitting, the work is expected to take approximately a week to complete.
Westbound traffic is not affected.
This work is part of the repairs completed over the winter to the structure damaged by an oversized load last September.
