Resurfacing work to begin Monday in Belmont County
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, April 4, 2012) – Resurfacing work is set to begin Monday, April 9th, on various routes in Belmont County.
Over 11 mile of U.S. Route 40 will be resurfaced from County Road 100 to the city of St. Clairsville’s west corporation line. About three miles of State Route 149 will be resurfaced from SR 147 to U.S. 40 at Morristown. This work, totaling $3.8 million, is expected to be completed by August 31, 2012.
Additionally, SR 149 will be resurfaced for another six miles from U.S. 40 to the village of Flushing’s south corporation line, and SR 331 will be resurfaced from SR 149 to just west of Uniontown. This work, totaling approximately $2.2 million, has a July 31, 2012, completion date.
Shelly & Sands Inc., from Rayland, Ohio, is ODOT’s contractor for both of these projects.
