SR 258 to be closed next week for multiple culvert replacements
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, April 04, 2016) –State Route 258 will be closed to traffic next week during daytime hours at the Harrison/Tuscarawas County line for multiple culvert replacements.
SR 258 will be closed to traffic between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday, April 11th through Friday, April 15th, while ODOT maintenance crews replace three culverts.
Beginning at the intersection of SR 258 and SR 342 in Tuscarawas County, traffic will be detoured east on SR 342 to SR 800 north back to SR 258, and reverse.
The Ohio Department of Transportation maintains the state's largest man-made asset – the transportation system. ODOT's mission is to provide the safe and easy movement of people and goods from place to place. As a $2.8 billion per year enterprise, ODOT invests the bulk of its resources in system preservation through maintenance, construction and snow and ice operations.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
