Resurfacing Work to Begin Next Week on State Routes 516 and 751 in Tuscarawas County
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) -- The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin work next Monday, April 13th, weather permitting, to resurface State Routes 516 and 751 in Tuscarawas County.
Over three miles of SR 516 will be resurfaced from the junction of SR 93 to the west corp. of Winfield, and over four miles of SR 751 will be resurfaced from the Coshocton County line to County Road 53 at Stone Creek.
Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT's contractor, Superior Paving & Materials Inc., from North Canton, Ohio, will begin work on SR 516 and move to SR 751 after a Stone Creek sewer line project is completed.
The completion date for this $885,051 project is June 30, 2009.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
