U.S. Route 30 to be closed next week between Hanoverton and Lisbon for a culvert replacement
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, April 6, 2010) – U.S. Route 30 will be closed to traffic next Tuesday and Wednesday (April 13th and 14th) in Columbiana County for a culvert replacement, weather permitting.
ODOT's maintenance crews will be replacing a culvert located between Hanoverton and Lisbon.
Beginning at the intersection of U.S. 30 and SR 9 in Hanoverton, traffic will be detoured north on SR 9 to SR 172 in New Garden, then east on SR 172 back to U.S. 30, and reverse.
Officials only expect this work to take two days to complete.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
