County Road 4 (Colerain Pike) to
close for bridge replacement project
BELMONT COUNTY – Beginning Monday, April 23rd, County
Road 4 (Colerain Pike) will close for 90 days between Colerain and Martins
Ferry for a bridge replacement project. This bridge is part of the Ohio Bridge
The Ohio Bridge Partnership Program was created in 2013 to allow
local governments to apply for state and federal funding to address bridges in
need of major repairs or replacement. The program, created in partnership with
the County Engineers Association of Ohio, is investing $130 million into 224
bridges around Ohio.
Beginning at the County Road 4 (Colerain Pike) and US 250
intersection, traffic will be detoured south to County Road 22 (Ferryview Rd.)
to State Route 647, then west on State Route 647 back to County Road 4
(Colerain Pike), and reverse.
Suburban Maintenance & Construction, Inc., from North
Royalton, Ohio, is the contractor for this $987,000 project. The project is
expected to be completed by July 22, 2018.
