ODOT seeks comments on proposed intersection improvements on State Route 45 north of Lisbon
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, April 10, 2012) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 is proposing improvements to the intersection of State Route 45 (North Market Street) and Township Road 867 (Saltwell Road) north of Lisbon in Columbiana County.
The proposed project will install new sidewalks, retaining walls, curb ramps, and audible pedestrian signals. Two signal poles will be installed in the northwest quadrant of the project area and ADA compliant curb ramps will be constructed at crosswalks throughout the construction limits.
The project will require minor new right of way acquisition. Construction is anticipated for the spring of 2014. Traffic will be maintained during construction.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental, and economic impacts of this proposed project. Environmental impacts could include those involving archeological, architectural and ecological resources, hazardous materials and the general location of the project.
