U.S. Route 30 Resurfacing to Begin Next Week
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) -- The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin work next Monday, April 20th, to resurface just over four miles of U.S. Route 30 in Columbiana County.
All four lanes of U.S. 30 will be resurfaced from just west of County Road 451 to just east of SR 170 at the Calcutta Exit.
One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction.
ODOT’s contractor for this $4.5 million project is the Shelly Company, from Thornville, Ohio, and the completion date is August 15, 2009.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
For information on additional lane and road closures caused by construction, accidents, flooding or other related traffic events, visit ODOT's gateway to traffic and roadway information at www.BuckeyeTraffic.org.
